ORU rally falls short in today's opener 14-11....Good Guys couldn't overcome that early 10 run deficit.....we outhit the Bison 17-14 but 8 walks by ORU pitchers not much help.......need to get the nightcap.....:shield-logo:

ORU run rules the Bison in the nightcap of the DH 18-2.....Good Guys pounded out 21 hits and had 8 players with multiple hits in the game.....Isaac Coffey gets the win with 5 strong innings and is 4-1 on the season......we are now 16-18 (7-4) and have a chance to take the series tomorrow afternoon......GO BLUE!!:tb-white:

Final game of the series cancelled due to inclement weather in Fargo (imagine that!). This cancellation highlights the importance of winning two of the first three games this weekend, as ORU now earns the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Bizon with the 4-3 season series win.  And, ORU still sits in first place heading into next week’s critical home series with Omaha, the other contender (besides ORU and NDSU) for the regular season title.  While the NCAA bid goes to the tourney champion, it’s also very important to win the regular season title in order to earn the right to host the 2022 conference tourney.

TheEagleman hates to say it but the rain out is certainly not a bad thing for ORU. Good Guys sit in first place and can now rest up for Omaha at JLJ next weekend. 😁⚾😁
