ORUalum
Thinking back over the 30 year journey going from returning to D1 to this season getting to the Sweet 16, three duos really stood out. Curious how fellow fans would rank their impact on the program. Tim Gill and Rocky Walls foundation pieces for Self's teams after a rough year or two returned ORU to a respectable D1 team NIT invite as an independent helped secure an invite to the Mid-Con league Caleb Green and Ken Tutt foundation pieces for Sutton's best teams routinely competed w/and defeated P5 schools in non-conf (capped by the KU win) multiple league titles multiple trips the Big Dance Max Abmas and Kevin Obanor Max lead the nation in scoring ended the Dakota dominance of the Summit Tournament became the darlings of the 2021 March Madness received the most POSITIVE attention for the university in decades (perhaps ever???) one shot away from the elite eight I think you could you make the case that Max and KO, if they never play another minute for ORU, were the biggest impact players in the modern era of ORU hoops. (i.e. since returning to D1)
Old Titan
I love those other four guys and their contributions to ORU basketball, plus I'm a huge proponent of avoiding "recency bias", but it's really hard to argue your point. So, I'm just gonna agree with it instead.
