NDSU Series at JLJ This Weekend

Easily lost in all the Sweet Sixteen hype, ORU Baseball has a huge home series against NDSU this weekend.  The Bizon lead the Summit with a 3-1 record after taking 3 of 4 at WIU last weekend.  They also own the Summit's best overall record at 14-4.  Included in their portfolio of work is a three game sweep at St. Louis, and SLU took 2 of 3 against ORU last week.  Statistically, NDSU leads the league with a .287 batting average (ORU is .256), and also sports the best ERA at 4.00 (vs. 5.50 for ORU).  The WHIP of their pitching staff is 1.444, compared to 1.631 for ORU, which equates to a very significant additional two baserunners per game.

It will be a good test for the Golden Eagles, who really need to pull off a 3-1 series win at home to start the conference season on the right foot.
