ORUTerry
The win against SDSU in dramatic fashion and subsequent win in the championship game against NDSU - along with Max Abmas’ stellar season, has garnered ORU an incalculable amount of publicity. The effects on the school (enrollment, giving, etc.) will be very positive.

theeagleman5
Amen brother....This is what Oral knew back in the early 70s....winning sports programs gets positive attention for the University which increases donations, alumni support and student enrollment...and of course brings Glory to God...does the current administration see that?...the past few days should make it clear that winning teams make a huge difference in how ORU is perceived...GO BLUE!! Old Titan
It took nothing short of an NCAA berth to get Berry Tramel of The Oklahoman to write about ANY topic related to ORU. After years of listening to him on the radio, I can assure you he is neither a fan of the school or the athletic program... ORUTerry
Be on your best behavior guys... Doc tells me that we have lots of lurkers on the message board. It’s been around 700-800 unique IP addresses per day since Monday and over 1,000 so far today. Lots of people interested in ORU right now. Keenan Henderson
If you watched Chapel on youtube today then you may know that President Wison had all the guys come up and honor them for winning the Summit League Title. He then praised K.O., Max, and Lacis for their achievements this season. Coach Mills then gave the Pres. a t-shirt that said Summit League Champs. Very touching. Here's a link to the chapel service - it should start with President Wilson introducing the video, then talking about the team: https://youtu.be/5UfxtgRz7tw?t=1167
Keenan Henderson
He are some big time stats for ORU this season: Ranked #2 in the nation in free throw shooting, #7 in three point shooting, and #57 in blocked shots in the nation! Who would have thought with the blocked shot numbers? Pretty impressive stats!
Old Titan
ORU's offensive numbers this season evoke memories of the Ken Trickey "We Run & Gun" days. Sadly, the defensive numbers do, as well: ORU is far down the list nationally in most defensive categories. We all got a glimpse this past week of just how potent this line-up can be, if they simply play solid defense. Here's hoping it carries over to the entire season next year. vcboy2000
The lineup changes are the only thing that makes sense as to the sudden increase in defensive effectiveness leading to a balanced offensive explosion. Hopefully the coaches learn from what they saw in these past few games and make strong, physical guards on the perimeter a priority in the line up moving forward. Old Titan
I like this graphic from a CBS Sports tweet just now: ORU looks like the equal of everyone else in this list (with arguably a better logo than half of them - not missing Eli!)
