Short and sweet.....could the altitude take it's toll today in game 2?....absolutely.....will our guys be feeling it late it the game?....surely they will....but here's the deal.....Denver is 1-9 and they stink.....yeah, they gave us a battle on Friday but Obanor was a minor factor due to foul trouble....TheEagleman expects more from him today......Abmas won't likely get 34 but he might score 25.....ORU 84   Denver  74.......GO BLUE!   :tb-white:

Looks like Max has been affected by the altitude today....0-7 shooting at half....but Obanor has 10 and the bench has chipped in with 13 pts.....38-26 ORU at halftime.....:shield-logo:

Good win for ORU today 91-82.  Defense was strong in the first half but then was almost non existent in the second half.  Give credit to Thompson, Glasper, and Jurgens who stepped up with Max having an off night.  5-1 in conference play is always a good start!

ORU gets the weekend sweep with a 91-82 victory this afternoon at Denver....again we prefer to outscore the opposition and it works.....4-0 now on the road in Summit play....tough day for Max (3-14) and only 14 points but KO rebounded with 25 while Glasper and Thompson had 15.....Good Guys now 8-6 (5-1) and will come home to face UMKC at Mabee for a pair next weekend....Go Blue!....:k_obanor::circle-logoi:

I’m not sure if this is a criticism or a compliment, but I can assure you it’s a stone-cold lock:  no other team in the league this year will give up 56 points in the second half of a 9-point road win. 😳

The best part of this game was that ORU lead wire-to-wire, never trailing.  The Eagles took an early lead, were tied one time at 21, and then fought off every Denver rally.  With three minutes left, Denver missed a three-pointer that would have given them the lead, but ORU finished strong to close out the DH sweep.   Nice contributions from the supporting team members (those not named Abmas or Obanor) this weekend.

Another odd fact about both games: Denver shot more three pointers than ORU. From the box scores, ORU shot 18 in both games while Denver shot 22 in both games as well

Nice road sweep for the Eagles! With still much to improve on this team is doing something we haven't seen in a number of years.  Let's keep improving on this momentum and success.....we still have to play the top dogs! Nice to see ORU competitive again!!

ORU is learning to win (which has not happened much in the last five years) and that should help build their confidence.  Defense is not their strong suit but then again does Coach Mills look for players that focus on defense?  Clover is the only one who comes to mind.  He blocked three shots today and does give them a physical presence on the inside.  The problem is Clover's only offense seems to be a dunk or a lay up.

Would love to see Clover and Lufile on the floor together.  Not sure about offense but would be a presence on defense.
