TrueBlue82 Posted January 3, 2021 Share Posted January 3, 2021 For all the grief that I've given to this coaching staff, I thought that they handled many things well in today's game, including slowing down the tempo and reducing the number of three point attempts in the second half, calling timeouts at critical moments, and helping the Eagles focus on winning the rebounding battle. It will be very interesting to see how the strategy shifts for tomorrow, as it is unlikely that either team shoots at a 54%+ clip. We can't rely on the three tomorrow afternoon. K.O. and Max are going to be a nightmare matchup for most teams in the Summit League. A win on the road is always a blessing. Good start to conference play! theeagleman5 Posted January 3, 2021 Share Posted January 3, 2021 Big 3 point shot by Glasper blunted that late 11 point run by Omaha and the Golden Eagles hold on to win by a dozen, 95-83.....not much D but not needed when Obanor gets 39 and Abmas 25....only 3 points off the bench which is a concern as bench points will be needed in the back to back Summit games....ORU now 4-5(1-0) with another Omaha game on Sunday....GO BLUE!!.... Sheldon Stevens is sick but not with any Covid issues. So it seeems the bench is somewhat thin, also Lufile was still in a gray looking warm up suit.
