Final game of the regular season for ORU now 15-13 (8-7)….a win tonight and we are locked into the 4-5 game in Sioux Falls and would probably avoid SDSU in round two if we survive round one......This years' Golden Eagles are Jekyll-Hyde for sure....who knows which one we will see in the tournament but TheEagleman expects Dr. Jekyll tonight.....as a 10 1/2 point favorite, ORU should take this one by double digits just like the match last month in Fort Wayne.....E-man has a big Senior Night and ORU rolls over Fort Wayne 95-76....Go Blue!.....:e_nzekwesi:

Let us honor the seniors tonight!  Here are some thoughts on each one: 1. Eman has had an amazing career and just got better each season. Should be a first team all conference player this year. 2. Sam Kearns is just a rock. Very steady solid guy who stayed during the good, bad and ugly times. Never gave up. 3. Burns had only one year with the team but he did a little bit of everything: score, rebound, play defense and lead the team in assists. Should be a second team all Summit League player. 4. Saunders has been solid off the bench and was like a glue guy for the team. He does the little things that may not be in the stat sheet but still help the team to win games. 5. Ty played hard this season but was unfortunately injured. Had a 5 for 5 night from three in the blowout win over Chicago State. God bless these seniors as they finish at ORU!

Up and down game but good to see Eman get the dunk at the end to seal the deal. ORU lost that 14 point lead in the second half and just held on to win a close one. Need to clean that up because on at least 4 or 5 occasions The Eagles have given up double digit leads in conference games. It may be the last time we see IFPW because they are moving to the Horizon League. ORU leads the series 13-11.  The good guys finish 13-1 at home this season. Bring on the Summit League Tournament!

72-66...sloppy but a win is a win...guarantees a winning season at 16-13 for the first time in at least 5 or 6 years....Abmas, Fuqua and E-Man with big games....Obanor a no show...whats the scoop?...ORU vs. Omaha in round one as Good Guys get the 4 seed...NDSU clinches the top seed...Denver beats WIU for the 8th and final spot in Sioux Falls....:tb-blue:

It is not Obanor’s fault that he sat on the bench almost the entire second half while watching a 4 guard lineup get out rebounded by about 8.

When the game was on the line Kearns got the key rebound, Burns hit the 2 free throws and Eman got the alley oop dunk.  That was a nice way for 3 key seniors to make key contributions at the end when the team really needed it.

So glad they won to send the seniors out on a positive note heading to the tournament.

Did anyone think it was weird that Mills didn’t say a word after the game last night about the seniors? Maybe he said something before the game?

I wish the Coach would say something about the seniors just to honor their contributions in front of the fans.  Most years Scott Sutton did but a few years he didn’t.  I think Hinson did during his two years but he liked to talk.  Self usually did.  It is a nice gesture to both the players and the fans.

Hopfully he will next year.

K.O. did have an off night when he was in the game. Four turnovers in the few minutes he was out there. That will usually get a player benched very quickly.  As far as letting the seniors play, Saunders only played about 3 or 4 minutes. Coach seemed to want to play small ball with the four guards and Eman. The only thing I can figure out is that he is trying to speed up the pace of the game and get into a track meet kind of game. The last three games, minus last night, the Eagles were averaging 101 points per game.

I think it was all about giving the seniors plenty of minutes. The women's game--which we won---was the same.
