EagleManiac
The first 5 minutes were very encouraging. And then it’s rushed 3 after rushed 3 after rushed 3. Tough to watch. Coach needs to get an assistant with some offensive expertise if he hopes to have any success.
Old Titan
Totally wasting the strengths of Obanor and Lufile by keeping them so far from the paint for so much of the shot clock. It’s simply doing the defense a favor.

EagleManiac
How many times have the play by play guys asked why we aren’t pounding the ball inside? When are we going to stop playing this ultra-aggressive form of defense? It’s clearly not having the desired effect of creating chaos. Way too many WIDE open shots. EagleFan21
2nd chances! 2nd chances! CU getting way too many. I'm not sure how may of their points are from offensive rebounds, but we have to be better. Our 3-point shot selection and shot making is pathetic. We have to work it inside to E-man and Lufile. Abmas' decision to keep in on the 2-1 fast break was not good either. CU's talent is certainly superior, but we're not helping ourselves. Time to play better in the 2nd half. TrueBlue82
Both teams shot exactly 50% from inside the arc in the first half. From downtown - CU 47%, ORU 23%. Definitely the difference in the game. Much better pounding it inside at a 50% clip.
ORU82
I agree on pounding it inside. Put Lufile, Eman and KO in there and tell them to pound it down low ever time up the floor.
Old Titan
At the half: 3-for-13 from three (23%) 9-of-18 from two (50%) only 4 free throw attempts (100%) ORU’s best three players are big men; two of which are excellent free throw shooters, but by all means, let’s keep running that high school offense out top, that NEVER gets looks into the post from the wing, or gets anyone to the line, and just keep chucking those threes!! #smh
Dr. Cornelius
There isn’t a single player on this team that should even attempt a three point shot.
ORU82
What do the coaches see in Lazenby?
EagleFan21
Lazenby not helping us by going 0-4 from FT line to start 2nd half.

ORUPucks
A little NBA on NBC music on the way to commercial break.... back in the 90s with Jordan and Pippen, Barkley a KJ, Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp, Jon Stockton and Karl Malone
Old Titan
Every minute played by Lazenby instead of Lacis, Saunders or Jones is a capital crime against the game of basketball.
ORU82
At least we are drawing fouls by going inside. If we could find an offense we could win this game.
Old Titan
At the 11:39 mark of the second half and trailing by 19, ORU executes its first pass into the post from the wing. Result: a spin move from Obanor that draws an immediate foul from the out-of-position defender, and a trip to the free throw line. This isn’t rocket science, folks... TrueBlue82
It seemed to me that on Obanor’s “goal-tend”, the ball was still going up and hadn’t yet touched glass. Did anyone else concur, or do I look through “Navy and Vegas glasses”?
