ORU vs. Rogers State

The return of "Big Chris"...

https://rsuhillcats.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/christopher-miller/3126

Always liked this guy:  great hands; and good footwork in the post.  Questionable motivation and prone to foul trouble during his ORU days, but I will be very surprised to not see an inspired performance from the big senior on Tuesday night.

RSU's Justin Barkley can flat-out coach; he's the son of legendary Inola HS head coach and OSSAA Hall of Famer Clyde Barkley, and he won an NCAA Division II national championship as a starting 2-guard at Northeastern State in Tahlequah.

The Hillcats are averaging over 80 points a game, with their only so-called blemish this season an 8-point exhibition setback at OSU.  They've shot 23 threes a game in their 3-0 regular season start, and made a whopping 45% of them (31-for-69).

And a reminder:  since Rogers State made the transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II status 4 years ago, these are legitimate scholarship athletes on their roster.  Ironic (and maybe a little embarrassing?) that this game is technically an exhibition for the Hillcats, yet will be counted in the official W-L standings for their D-1 hosts.

Good thing for the Eagleman this game doesn't have a Vegas line; I for one wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole.

If it wouldn't be betting against my alma mater, I would take those 15 points and the under in a heartbeat, and break your little personal casino... 😎

It would be good to see K.O. come alive and take over a game. Going to need him tomorrow to give the Golden Eagles an advantage on the inside. Also it sounds like a game where Max could put up thirty. Bombs away!

Points, or shots? (rimshot)

Time for the Eagles to get on the winning track.  RSU can be sneaky good.  This would be a good start to growing our confidence.  Mills should have the boys dialed in and ready to go.

Rogers State lost to Oklahoma State 75-63 on Nov 1. They seem to be a decent team. The Eagles will need to play well and not let their guard down tonight. We need to see 1-2 other guards besides Max  step up  with consistent shooting and then our big guys dominate underneath.I expect a Win at the Mabee tonight.

K.O. finally looks like what we saw last year. He is carrying ORU with 19 points and 5 rebounds at halftime.

Any one else not able to pickup the game on the Franchise.  I used the TuneIn app and it was not our game.  Also am trying to watch/listen on our website and that too is a joke.  It continually "freezes" and I literally have to shut down and start over.  PLEASE Athletic Department do something to actually try and broadcast our games.  So for you have been terrible.

Saunders gave ORU a nice lift in the second half. Seems like he has not played much this year or only at the end of halves. Max played much smarter tonight. They took his three point shot away so he drove to the basket and got fouled a few times. Shows maturity for a freshman. Shout out to big Chris Miller, good game for him.

Nice win Eagles.  Good to see KO have a nice game.  Didn't get to see the game but the box score looks like we played pretty well overall.
