theeagleman5
The Good Guys came to play today.....9 runs in the first....5 in the 3rd and 9 more so far in the top of the 5th and still batting ….a pair of grand slams by McCutchin and Martinez in the 5th...has to be a first for ORU in the same inning.......ORU up 25-2 and Josh McMinn in control on the mound....this is sure to be a run rule win for the Golden Eagles..... …
ORU GRAD
Two grand slams in one inning. Great alive bats today. Nice win for the good guys with records smashed.
theeagleman5
Final...ORU 25 PFW 2......McMinn goes 5 for the win and Salim finished up with 2 scoreless innings....Keizor 3-4 with a HR and 7 RBI.....Slams by Martinez (4-5) and McCutchin (pinch)…..sounds like the Good Guys took out some April frustrations on the Mastodons today in Forth Wayne...a DH tomorrow afternoon......really important for ORU to get a sweep in this series to help cement a playoff spot...... ORU GRAD
FINAL SCORE: #ORUBase 10, Purdue Fort Wayne 0@GaskinsMatt5 tosses his first complete-game shutout across 8 innings and fans a career-best 7 Go Eagles!
theeagleman5
Sweet!!...now ORU needs to get the sweep!! Final game pushed back to Sunday due to sleet.......

theeagleman5
A much needed sweep for ORU, 14-0 at PFW to improve to 22-18 (13-8)....Coffey with 7 strong innings for the win....next up the Pokes visit JLJ on Tuesday night..... theeagleman5
In the Summit this weekend....SDSU won 2 of 3 at Omaha and NDSU won 2 of 3 from WIU....so now ORU (13-8) is tied for 2nd with the Jacks just 4 games behind first place Omaha (17-4) with 9 games to play....Good Guys still have a 3 games series left with the Mavs at Omaha on the final weekend.....WIU and NDSU are tied for the 4th and final playoff spot at 10-11....next weekend WIU comes to JLJ for the final home series of the season and ORU could just about lock up a playoff spot with a sweep....considering the final 6 games are on the road at #2 SDSU and #1 Omaha, it's a good idea to get that spot taken care of at home....plus, ORU owes the Leathernecks some payback for the sweep up in Macomb a few weeks ago.....SDSU plays at home next weekend vs. PFW so that should be 3 easy wins for the Jacks....an ORU sweep of WIU would be needed to stay even prior to the big series in Brookings on Mothers' Day weekend...... MrsSmith
I would love to see Omaha lose one or two more games, and we keep winning so we have a chance to get back in first place (where we belong).
theeagleman5
Unless Omaha totally falls apart...it appears that the Summit League Tournament will not be at JLJ in 2020......
Old Titan
Unless ORU can catch Omaha for first place, the only difference between placing 2nd or 3rd is who gets to bat as the home team in that first-round tournament game at beautiful J.L. ...and maybe the uniform color. EagleManiac
Is next years conference tournament location determined by the prior season regular season champ or prior season tournament champion?
TrueBlue82
Regular season, as I understand it.
