Congrats to former ORU All-American Bill Glasson, who was a star on the ORU golf teams that finished third nationally in 1981 and runner-up in 1982.

Glasson is an ORU Hall of Famer, and had a long but injury-plagued PGA career.  He was a two-time winner of the Kemper Open on tour, and was named PGA Comeback Player Of The Year in 1997.  He looked like a typical blonde-headed, laid-back surfer dude, but actually came from a rough background in Fresno (CA); he was tough as nails and it carried forward to the golf course.  Despite over a dozen surgeries over the years, he continued to play on the Champions Tour until just recently.

Bill has been a long-time resident of Stillwater, and has made it a point to return to many ORU Hall of Fame nights over the years with his kids.  He's a great dude, and the recognition by the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame is well-deserved.
