Big rematch tonight....the Sooners head in to JLJ looking for some revenge for the ORU extra inning win two weeks ago....should be a real good game with a nice home crowd if it's a pleasant evening in Tulsa.....TheEagleman wishes he could be there....GO BLUE!!!...:tb-white:

Lead off doubles in the 5th and 6th and ORU makes no effort to move them over with a bunt.  Two wasted opportunities in a close game.  We'll see if it come back to bite them later.

A great 2 1/3 from McCutchin on the mound.  Wolf out for the 8th.

Great win.  This team has stumbled but can gain confidence with this win.

If you can beat OU twice, you should be able to beat NDSU.

Yeah, Jason...amazing how ORU pitching can hold a top 30 team like OU to two runs twice....yet we get hammered by Western Illinois for 24 runs in 3 games with our top 3 starters on the mound.....mind boggling.....nice win in front of a good home crowd last night but the victory makes TheEagleman scratch the thinning hair on his head.....Good Guys (now 17-17)  have to win this series in Fargo...it's huge....:tb-white:

Definitely a big series in Fargo - and winning the series would also give us tiebreaker advantage, which (unfortunately) may be important at the end of the Summit season.

Of the four teams in the current dog pile for 2-5, the likely one to “fall out” of contention is Western Illinois.  They have four of their five remaining series on the road (as does ORU), including a HUGE graduation weekend series at JLJ.  SDSU has three of five at home, and NDSU has four of five at home - and their one road trip is to winless Fort Wayne.  The Bizon may be in fifth place now, but will most likely make the tourney due to their remaining schedule.

Problem for NDSU is that their field is swamped by flood waters and the ORU series (and perhaps others) have been moved to Concordia, MN....so ORU catches a break as this weekend will be played on Friday and a DH on Saturday on a neutral field with perhaps 25-30 Bison fans in attendance......😀....actually, Concordia within an hour of NDSU....so their fans will show....if they care....🙄
