theeagleman5
TheEagleman is still trying to figure out how this ORU team managed to beat a Top 25 team in OU at Norman last week then get swept by 8-18 Western Illinois over the weekend.....amazing....well, it doesn't help much when your pitchers give up 26 runs in 3 games....tonight ORU travels over to Fayetteville to play the Hogs....hopefully we can get the bats going in what will likely be a bullpen game.....GO BLUE!!!.... theeagleman5
The ORU bats did get going tonight scoring 8 runs.....unfortunately, nine different pitchers didn't have much success giving up 15 to Arkansas.....end result a 15-8 loss in which ORU actually led 3-0 in the first and 6-5 in the 5th.....Golden Eagle hurlers walked 13 batters total.....Sam Rainwater faced six Hogs....walked 4...gave up a hit and got one out.....he threw 29 pitches only 9 of which were strikes....who knows....maybe he was getting squeezed by the umpire??.........oh well....ORU moves on to face first place Omaha this weekend at JLJ.....huge series....ORU needs at least 2 of 3...…. Old Titan
Great read on grad transfer Hunter Wilson's return to Fayetteville Tuesday night - quite a character (and a bat flip for the ages): http://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2019/apr/10/wilson-return-fayetteville-among-biggest-memories/
