ORUTerry Posted October 26, 2018 Author Share Posted October 26, 2018 The event was well attended (best crowd I can remember) and they raised lots of money from the auctions. The players were briefly introduced and the coaches spoke about the teams & upcoming seasons. Coach Cussen said she is encouraged with this squad; they are picked 4th and she thinks that is two slots too low. Coach Mills said that he was involved in a head-on car collision last week - thus the reason for wearing a ball cap since part of his head is shaved. Sounded pretty serious to me. He also said he was encouraged by this group of players; they are young and there will be growing pains as they come together. It was nice to hear from DJ Weaver abut his path to ORU. It's going to take me a while to learn the names of all these new guys and the new women's players. It'll be interesting to see the Lee Mayberry effect on the women's team.
