Dallas Baptist vs. ORU

Both these teams got crushed by superior opposition yesterday.....But Coach Folmar may actually come out looking like a genius by going with McGregor vs. Arkansas....let's face it, ORU wasn't going to beat Hogs' ace Knight...no way....so now we have our ace Miguel Ausua going up against DBU's #2 guy.....The Patriots are very tough but TheEagleman thinks Ausua gives the Good Guys a real good chance to win.....then we come back with McMinn in game 3 vs. probably Southern Miss....if we can win that game and get to face the Hogs again....well, at least we made it to the finals.....but let's take it one game at a time and it's obviously win or go home today vs. DBU....GO BLUE!!!...:eagles:

#4 seeds were 2-12 yesterday, with two rainouts.  Big kudos to Army and Samford for their upset wins over NC State and Florida State.  The ACC must be in meltdown mode today...

Shaky first inning for Ausua. Settled down a bit in the second. ORU gets a couple of runners on in the top of the third.

ORU gets to the DBU starter in the third. A 3-0 ORU advantage with a fresh arm coming in for DBU. He looked really good the first couple of innings before he just totally fell apart.

Can't hold 4-0 lead...this ain't the Summit League...Ausua comes up real small today...

not sure i've ever seen a pitcher give up 4 homers in a single inning

as soon as DBU knew their starter lost it, they brought the hook........not sure what the ORU coaches were thinking trying to extend Ausua after the 3rd homer.........

there is no need to save McMinn, Stout, or any other pitcher at this point....

ORU has surrendered 25 runs in a game and a half.

empty the bench and let everyone get a regional at bat.

thanks for another winning season of ORU baseball and best of luck to all the seniors.

Final....DBU 18 ORU 9....hard to believe we gave up 28 runs in two games.... Outscored 28-11....TheEagleman didn't expect us to win but I thought we could be competitive...our pitching has been pretty good all season even against Power 5 teams except for that game at OU...but these two games we were awful...its very disappointing...:'(

Not a big fan of the game management decisions. In a competitive game, why let a guy give up six runs and load the bases before you pull him? Why let your starter give up four homers in a row? What are you saving your arms for?

Props to a great class of seniors. on to next year.
