ORUTerry
Guard play - or lack of it, will determine our success. We will be relying on either players with limited court time last year, new jucos or freshmen. Our coaching staff will need to coach/train/develop these inexperienced back court players quickly. It is quite a test for a new coaching staff.
titansforever
I hope this is the reason that some people go into coaching--they love the challenge of turning okay/good/pretty good players into very good/great players who wind up exceeding everyone's expectations! It seems we have a lot of good raw material to work with for the coming year. Attitude and hard work are key.
Old Titan
Ya just gotta love the honeymoon period between being hired from the assistants' ranks, and your first season as a head coach. No W-L record, no disappointing performances, no skeletons in the closet, no bridges burned - nothing like it!
