theeagleman5
Perfect 70-75 degree conditions for baseball in Fargo this weekend as the Golden Eagles attempt to clinch the #1 seed in the post season tournament. 2 wins out of 3 will probably do the trick unless WIU sweeps at South Dakota State, The Bison are 22-21 overall and 12-9 in the Summit and have been up and down....ORU continues its' consistent play and at 32-11 is having the best season in the past 5-6 years....TheEagleman can't recall when we have had such solid starting and bullpen pitching with 7-8 guys all getting the job done every week.....the pitching staff alone gives ORU a chance to advance in an NCAA regional.....it's not impossible if we get a favorable draw and avoid one of the National seeds....but first things first....let's clinch the Summit #1 seed.....GO BLUE!....

theeagleman5
NDSU posted a 5 spot in the 7th and leads ORU 8-7 in the 8th......the bullpen failed tonight....

ORU82
Bryce Howe's pitching came apart like a $2 watch tonight. Probably some of the worst pitching we have put out there this year. Tough loss at 10-7. Hopefully we regroup and do better tomorrow.
theeagleman5
Can't win 'em all....but Grant Glaze and Bryce Howe didn't get the job done tonight....Howe has had a rough season...I wouldn't put him on the mound in any key spots unless we are out of options....

theeagleman5
Lol....TheEagleman will take some of the blame....but Bryce Howe's ERA of 7+ deserves a lot more....I''ve seen enough of that guy....

theeagleman5
ORU rallies to tie the game in the 9th but Stout gives up the winning run. Two losses in a row...3-2....ouch!
ORU82
Finally put it together today, Good Guys win 4-0.
theeagleman5
That pretty much wraps up the regular Summit season title....WIU lost 2 of 3 at SDSU so we have a 6 game lead with 6 to play. Clutch 7 innings of shutout pitching by Ausua who now has 9 wins....he might be our #1 pitcher in post season play...Roark and Cummings had RBI doubles today....ORU now 33-13 (20-4)....but NDSU is not going to be a pushover in the tournament....
