ORU at IPFW

ORU heading up to Fort Wayne for a 3 game series this weekend.....the woeful Mastadons are 6-20 and got swept at SDSU last weekend....maybe the Golden Eagle bats will awake from a two week slumber at the sight of this IPFW pitching staff.....although last Friday they only lost 1-0 to the Jacks....so their #1 starter might be decent...but still no excuse for not winning all three games up there...unless we continue to score only a run or two.....but....GO BLUE!!!.....:eagles:

The good news is that Justin McGregor is pitching really well thru 5 innings...bad news is that we still can't hit a lick.....but ORU is up, 1-0 in the 6th.....GO BLUE!!!  :eagles:

Rolling into the 9th and ORU holding on to a 2-1 lead.....McGregor pitched great....Stout is on now but the Dons scored one in the bottom of the 8th....we can't lose to these clowns....:|

We prove pitching and D can be enough...Win #20 for ORU as the Good Guys hold on at Fort Wayne, 3-1....Nick Roark with 3-4 and an RBI....McGregor gets the W with another strong 7 inn.  Friday performance and Stout save #7....we still only had 6 hits so except for Roark the two week slump continues....ORU 20-8 and IPFW 6-21....:oru-logo:

A game like this should really help in boosting confidence at the plate. Hopefully it translates into some solid hitting on Tuesday night against OU.

A classic Summit League series for ORU so far. Close friday night result from their best starter and then a double-digit saturday win as we get into their pitching a bit.

Completed the sweep today with a 14-2 win in 7 innings.  We are now 22-9 (12-1) with OU coming to JLJ on Tuesday.  Go Golden Eagles!

Great weekend from the guys. Two run rules in a row should give us some confidence heading into Tuesday's matchup. Would be huge to snag one from a very good OU team.

Great to see our boys put up 29 runs in the past two days....the slump is put to rest....HRs today by Cummings, Whatley, Williams and Grellner  and five strong shutout innings by Asusa....just a dominating 14-2 victory over a bad IPFW team that we should beat....like old times....Eagles now 22-9 (11-1) and a big home game with the  top 10 OU Sooners on  Tuesday night...:clap::eagles:
