theeagleman5
The 9-7 Jacks are in Tulsa for a 3 game series at JLJ this weekend....hopefully the weather will hold out; there are thunderstorms in the forecast for Friday and Sunday.....ORU has won 4 in a row and SDSU 3 in a row after sweeping at Omaha last weekend...their game on Tuesday vs. Mount Marty (???) was cancelled due to weather....hard to respect any team that schedules a school named Mount Marty but they also play Waldorf (salad?) and Dakota Wesleyan....but I digress.... so both teams undefeated in the Summit and the winner of this series will come out in first place...ORU is 13-7.....GO BLUE!!!.... I kinda like it, it also seems like the least pressure we've put on our starting pitching in a long time. There's no expectation that any starter is going to go deep, so everyone should be ready to pitch a high leverage situation at any time. And this year we have the defense and, at times, offense to back them up. But, I agree, no telling how that will translate come regional time.
