MrsSmith
Good start for the Eagles. 5 runs in the T1 and already chased the starter. Go Eagles!

ORUalum
so much for my theory about moving Williams down in the order until he got his bat going...... 4 RBI already today edit: not to get lost --- how about that AB from Cummings just prior to the 3 run HR. he fouled off a bunch of pitches and worked a 9 or 10 pitch walk. Old Titan
In terms of approach and execution, ORU has been WAY ahead of their competition so far this season. Really fun to watch!!
theeagleman5
ORU 12 Kansas 1.....ouch!....a pair of HRs for Williams (3-5 5RBI)...also a HR by Cummings who was 2-4....six different pitchers combined for the win and ORU now 7-1 and heading up to Minneapolis for the Dairy Queen Classic....GO BLUE!!!.... TrueBlue82
Lost in the blowout story line was some clutch pitching and great defensive plays. The Jayhawks left the bases loaded in BOTH the first and second innings. It would have been a much different game if they had broken through early. Nick Roark made a sprinting catch in foul territory midway through the game, and Dylan Snypes made some stellar plays at shortstop. This team has talent, maturity, and (so far) some great chemistry. A much needed boost after a brutal winter for ORU Athletics.

titansforever
Isn't it fun to watch an ORU team winning so many games?
ORUTex
The D1 Digest had a nice blurb on yesterday's game and ORU's start: • Oral Roberts is one of several teams off to a terrific start, and it picked up another dominant win Tuesday in a 12-1 triumph over Kansas. ORU scored five runs in the first to take control, while first baseman Brent Williams led the offensive charge, going 3-for-5 with a pair of homers and five RBIs. Meanwhile, Noah Cummings hit a home run and smacked a double in the win. https://d1baseball.com/roundup/d1-digest-tuesday-feb-28/
