TrueBlue82
And all of the pre-season Summit predictions go out the door on the second day of the conference season. Western Illinois beats Fort Wayne on the road 93-91. Incredible...
ORUTerry
Not a lot of defense played - or everyone just couldn't miss. Or both.
ORUIllini
Western beats IPFW!? Welp, what are the chances IPFW loses two in a row at home to start the conference slate? Probably slim to none.....

theeagleman5
WIU sank 18 3s to get this win...they had a 19-2 run at one point in the 2nd half then held on to win....This is really an upset of almost epic proportions in the Summit League...WIU came into the game at 3-8 with only 1 victory vs. a D-1 school (other 2 wins coming over Oak Hills Christian and Crown University...lol).....IPFW on the other hand came in at 10-3 including a win at Indiana last month...so this really makes no sense....but TheEagleman has to agree that the Mastadons will be pissed on Saturday and this doesn't bode well for ORU stealing a victory.....not gonna happen.....IPFW should be very focused.....but who knows, maybe IPFW will be doubting themselves now....but guessing not.....we are in trouble.....also, if WIU hit 18 3 balls vs. IPFW...how many might they make against us next weekend since we have one of the worst defenses in all of NCAA D-1???....ouch...I need a Winter Lager....pass the Tylenol.... ORUIllini
Western defeats SDSU by 8 tonight....looks like the Leathernecks are a decent team...a win there Saturday would be legit.... Ft. Wayne gets out of Omaha with only a 2 point win... The Summit is WIDE open....however, another loss Saturday could be the end for ORU
theeagleman5
Host SDSU will play Omaha in the title game tonight on ESPN2....looks like home cooking has worked for the 6th seeded Jacks who whipped 2nd seed South Dakota last night. Omaha defeated IUPUI in the other semifinal....so it's the 6 seed vs. 4 seed....anything can happen and usually does in the Summit League Tournament....TheEagleman will probably tune in for some of it..... theeagleman5
Watched a little SD at Iowa in the NIT last night....the Coyotes battled for 35-36 minutes but finally fell in the end by double digits.....
theeagleman5
So. Dakota St. Played #1 seed Gonzaga tough for a half but ended up getting beat soundly 66-46...the Jacks didnt have the gleam today.
