orumom Posted July 5, 2015 Share Posted July 5, 2015 RIP Marge - I enjoyed the time we spent supporting the ORU Golden Eagle Club & your friendship. You were beautiful inside & out. Marjorie (Marge) Cason Carter died on Thursday, July 2, 2015. She was born on October 17, 1928 to Claude Cason and Marjorie Maas Cason in Keota, Oklahoma, where she grew up. She married Robert "Bo" Carter on July 20, 1947 while attending Oklahoma State University, and together they had three sons.She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Tom Carter, and one grandson, Scott Michael Carter. She is survived by three sisters, Jayne Cox, Wanda Beach and Judy Towry Smith, all of Tulsa; two sons, Mike Carter and his wife, Paula, and Patrick Carter and his wife, Casey, all of Tulsa ; as well as special daughter-in-law, Pamala Carter, of Bartlesville. "GranMarge" was most proud of her eight grandchildren: Lizz Carter of Los Angeles, CA; Cason Carter and his wife, Shelley; Jason Carter and his wife, Erin; Kendall Carter and his wife, Krista; Daniel Carter and his wife, Haley; and Cross, Cosby and Chapman Carter, all of Tulsa. Marge's joy was increased by her four great-grandsons: John Reid Carter; Luke, Henry; and Jacob Carter; and her first and only great-granddaughter, Charlotte Carter all of Tulsa. She was also extremely close to and proud of her two nieces and five nephews. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, Tulsa on Thursday, July 9 at 11:00 AM.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to The Scott Carter Foundation for Children's Cancer Research, P.O. Old Titan Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 I missed this post earlier - was sad to learn the news. Marge and I worked together in the Golden Eagle Club for a couple of years, and I found her to be a very fine, gracious lady.
