Bogus Smith Posted June 11, 2015 Share Posted June 11, 2015 It's possible that Guillermo told scouts that if they didn't take him in the first 15 rounds that he was staying in school. When you get that late in the draft, there isn't much left and they take a chance that someone can convince a junior ball player that he won't have ANY options but to sign now and get as big of a signing bonus as he can. Realistically, Guillermo should stay at ORU and get better and get his theology degree. He will probably be drafted much higher in 2016 - if he stays healthy, of course! theeagleman5 Posted June 23, 2015 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Sequiera has signed with the Phillies and is with the Class A Williamsport (PA) CrossCutters.....he has already pitched in one game in relief....gave up 2 hits and 1 ER but had 2 SOs.....TheEagleman is hoping that maybe he moves up to Lakewood (NJ) during the summer so I could make the one hour drive to check him out....Williamsport is the low Class A NY-Penn rookie league....it's a short season only from last weekend thru late August....a teammate of Anthony's is Zach Coppola from SDSU who is hitting .375 so far.......I guess they can chat about those big Summit League games in the dugout....lol....the Cutters are off to a 4-0 start.....the class of the NYP League so far....
