ORUalum
NDSU jumps out to to 2-0 lead....incredible 15 pitch at bat for NDSU's leadoff batter that resulted in a HR to start the game. Trujillo really laboring on the mound.

Old Titan
NDSU and SDSU are proud athletic programs that have earned the right to compete at the D-1 level. They are not going to do much to beat themselves, in any sport. It will take a disciplined and focused effort to win this tournament, and this ORU teams seems to have the right make-up to do the job. Today's performance after falling behind was a perfect example. Well done!
theeagleman5
A nail biting come from behind 4-2 win for ORU today.....Trujillo did a nice job settling down after a rough first inning and James' big hit the 5th was all we needed....it's never easy in tournament baseball and most of these teams are a lot better than when we were last in the Summit.....we just have to grind it out every game.....today was a big win for the confidence and gets us ready for a tough week ahead.....but tomorrow could be an even bigger win...as we all know, the 2nd game is the biggest because a win automatically gives us a day off and propels us in the title game on Saturday where we would have to win just once to take the title and lose twice to be eliminated.....TheEagleman expects to be facing host SDSU tomorrow night but let's see how the Jacks do tonight vs. IPFW......no game is a gimme in the post season..... TrueBlue82
#1ORU against #2SDSU tomorrow night at 7 pm - just as it should be!
titansforever
What's the weather like in SD? It's not snowing, is it? This has been a crazy spring, weather-wise. I can't believe they're predicting 7 straight days of rain chances here in Tulsa. Haven't we suffered enough???
theeagleman5
The forecast is sunny and 70 degrees in Sioux Falls today....perfect baseball weather......temps will cool down quickly tonight into the 50's but temps at first pitch for ORU-SDSU should be around 68.....good thing this tournament isn't in Tulsa....lol.....GO EAGLES!.... ORUalum
after the tough start, Trujillo really settled in and then McDavid was stellar in middle relief before Sequiera closed things out. nice gutty win for the good guys to start off in the winner's bracket. it should be another tough game tonight against a good hitting SDSU squad that will also be putting a lefty on the bump against the ORU bats.
