Yes, every time someone says we are talking in circles or that we discussed this X pages ago, it's my signal to keep on point.

The Honor Code clearly states: No stealing. (Unless it's an ORU baseball player committing the act.)

For starters, every position player except the third baseman left. Then we moved our DH to first base. Lost our closer and another reliever that we relied heavily on. One of our weekend starters is pitching in Canada. I may be missing something else. I'm not making excuses I promise you. No one is more disappointed, or had higher expectations, than me. That having been said, there's a lot of talent from last year's team that is currently playing at the next level in some form or another. I also hope that we turn things around.....and soon.

All of these points are fine, but I think the main issue is running an offensive & defensive system that fits your roster. Hypothetically speaking, you don't run out a bunch of big/slow guys and try to full-court press. Or, you don't have a bunch of athletic slashers and put them in an offense that is based on creating perimeter jump shots. It seems to me that the coach had a system he wanted to play but didn't have the personnel to do it. As a coach you have to realize what your players strengths are and adjust your "system" accordingly.

I have a feeling I'm going to have this directed towards me many times.

The sad thing about last night is that we wasted a fine performance by Jakob Hall and left way too many players in scoring position. it was a frustrating game to watch. I'm looking forward to some FUN games to watch!!

I figure myself to be on the "last-to-know" basis when it come to sports info, so I imagine that the few on here that care probably already know - Mark Pope of BYU to Kentucky. Kind of an interesting pick in my opinion. He's been somewhat successful at BYU, taking them to first round losses in the NCAA Tournament twice. It will be interesting to see how manages at Kentucky.

Talk about two MUST wins today and tomorrow.....Good Guys have to step up or they are facing a very difficult road for the rest of April and May.....ORU just has to beat the Tommies and take this series or blood will be in the water and the sharks will come feasting.....GO BLUE!!!

Another bad, almost inexplicable loss. Two untimely errors leading to two unearned runs and the home team falls 3-2. The Tommies had nine hits, all singles, with only one of them clearing the infield on the fly. ORU is also aided by three Tommie errors, but only leading to one run. All of the positive momentum from last week crashes to a halt.

No hitter not on tonight’s menu after the first pitch bunt. However, ORU guns down lead off man trying to steal second.

Sounds like the Wildcats are going to that next tier of Power 5 coaches. I heard a good line on the radio this morning. If Nate Oates goes to Lexington the Wildcats will have been coached by Hall and Oates. Many of you are not old enough to get that. On the other side of the ledger @ORU40 is more than likely to produce a recruiting letter or a story about Joe B

I said this three or four pages ago on this thread.

This team is 12-20-1. Last season, we ended at 52-14. How did we fall so far? Very distressing. I don't have a good feeling about the rest of this season. I just hope we can turn things around.
