  1. Has anyone else seen that both we and NDSU were picked as at-large bids to this year's WNIT?

  2. I had really high hopes for Amboree. I really thought he was going to be a key piece for us at some point. Bummer to see him go.

  3. IMHO Ashton Smith should have received a lot more playing time. He would have helped with post defense, rebounding and putbacks. Amboree could have spelled McBride and Kareem, but those minutes would have probably gone to Miller instead. I do agree that this next year Amboree might have received a lot more playing time but we do not know what types of conversations coaches may have had with some of these players about their scholarship status for next year.

  5. Just as an aside, is there any truth to the rumor that in keep with fielding a pitching staff that loves the HBP, we are in a recruiting war with Cleveland for a hot young prospect from the California Youth Penal League who can really bring the heat? I think his name is Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn. Asking for a friend.

  6. The team has some serious "soul searching" to do in righting their ship. They lose the hope of hosting the 2025 Summit League tournament in May of next year and they have left themselves no margin for error. The pitcher today rarely touched 80 mph on any of his pitches and was able to keep our hitters off guard all day - even the third round through the lineup. Our team ERA is 7.49 and our batting average as a team stands at .292 - and that is before the SDSU series. We have hit a total of nine HRs in the first 20 games, less than one home run every two games - probably a record for us. I am hopeful that the guys with injuries will heal soon, the guys that need to focus on eliminating errors will envision those plays so that they can make them, and that those that are committed to their teammates and coaches will encourage and pull on the rope in the same direction for each other. The question for tomorrow is.....which SDSU pitcher will be named Pitcher of the Week. It could be a tough choice for those that make those decisions.

  7. Hello, https://www.facebook.com/share/p/TUuiyuspytyniBnt/?mibextid=WC7FNe Apparently other years have had bad attendance and it counts this year. Of course The Dakota fans foaming at the mouth and bragging how amazing they are at hosting. No bias here

  9. I am hopeful for the portal, but outside of Issac I’m struggling to remember a solid transfer who’s stayed recently. For every Issac, there’s been some transfers that haven’t quite been able to produce(or get playing time). At the end of the day there still needs to be a level of coaching up and development that our staff is responsible for, or they’ll all just leave again next year. Here’s to Springmann and his staff stepping things up, bringing in but also keeping solid transfers.

  10. 1. Sounds like a lot of 2023-24 ORU players didn't appreciate being told they need to rebound, follow their shot and run the offense. 2. Sounds like the coaching staff is throwing lines into a lot of different ponds. Hope they land a few big fish that can do what I listed in #1. 3. Thanks to all who have posted updates.

  11. at least something to watch and cheer for next couple weeks - can't root for the longhorns , but can root for them being behind most of the game and then max getting a buzzer beater to win.

  12. Jeff Goodman on the field of 68 said his hot take was that Max would turn into Steph Curry and lead Texas to the Elite 8.

  13. ORU is in the WNIT with NDSU and USD. We were all very close in RPI standings. It will be interesting to see if we get a home game out of this.

  15. At least Max gets to go dancing again. Hopefully he can write another chapter in his legacy of college basketball. We'll be praying for you, Max!!
