Getting on the road to head to KC now. Excited to get in their coach's head again tonight.8 points

Alumni email I got said only is one bus of students, but it should be the rowdy bunch. I will be there yelling twice as loud.6 points

Would love to do Saurday breakfast/brunch at ORU Athletics sponsor Daybreak Cafe (previously First Watch) on the southwest corner of 81st and Lewis. Let me put it this way: I'll be there that morning regardless, if anyone cares to join me. If you want to try to fit dinner in Friday, I'll be there, too - I eat three squares a day.4 points

Breaking News: Zeke Mayo is still inexplicably wide open. Defense optional today in Brookings. Stay tuned for the "Zeke Mayo for Player Of The Year" campaign this coming week from Greg Mitchell, the Reaching The Summit podcast homers, and the clowns-in-ties at Midco Sports.3 points

I'm down for one or the other or both (a la @Old Titan). Always up for a burger at Smitty's Garage (post baseball game) - easy on the wallet, good on the gut.2 points

Not to give it up to myself (because we all know I would NEVER do such a thing), but I labeled Mwamba ORU’s best pro prospect back in November. He’s Tony Allen (OSU and Memphis Grizzlies) with a jump shot.2 points

I gotta tell you, as someone who closely follows The Mitchell Report, I didn't see this coming.2 points

I'm reminded of the old football saying re: (among others) Randy Moss and Tyreek Hill when it comes to defensive backs attempting to defend them: "If they're even, he's leavin'!!"1 point

Save the date. Friday, February 17, 6:30-7:00ish (baseball game starts at 3:00 that day), message board dinner get together somewhere (in south Tulsa metro). Or, we could do breakfast/brunch/lunch on Saturday the 18th before the baseball game that starts at 2:00. Who’s in? let’s get a plan with critical mass and then promote it in a new thread.1 point

Mwamba’s play as seemed off a bit the last 2 weeks. More so on the offensive end but he is in foul trouble more too. I hope he figures that out quick.1 point

So I ventured over there to see what they were saying, which led me to search who Tulane's head coach is, and apparently it's Ron Hunter. Which led me to do a quick google on him, and found a cool clip from the past... More than one familiar face in this clip as well... Ron Hunter defeats Baylor in the NCAA tourney.1 point

Reminds me of his final 3-4 seasons at ORU, except for the winning. Call me crazy, but I always sensed that Scott fell into coaching because it was the family business, not because HE was passionate about it. I fear he may be one of those guys to get to the end of his life to discover he never really lived it.1 point

I think Meloy had to be convinced to come back for his final season since he had graduated and been admitted to law school. He played infrequently the following season and Sutton, to his eternal shame, never put Meloy into the NCAA game - even though we were getting blown out. I heard that Andrew was bitter about that. At times, Sutton could be clueless - and classless1 point

This game and the following game against St. Thomas in Minneapolis are the two remaining games that scare me the most.1 point

At the ORU-TU game in December, I was shocked by the quantity and quality of the gear that TU had available. I thought all small schools were stuck with the same low quality gear, offered for years at a time. Somebody needs to get on this. I think the market is there for people wanting to buy nice gear - I know I want to!1 point

Oh, now THIS one cracks me up! LOL How can we forget "Five Star" Jamie Bergens from The Netherlands?? Or Jahaziel Howard, younger brother of NBA man-child Dwight Howard? Or Jake Lliteras, much-ballyhooed North Carolina prep star? Finally, Bobby Word of Lancaster, TX, who started over 20 games as a freshman in 2013-14, then fizzled out and away?1 point

I think you are getting what you want. Some might say "meets or exceeds". So far (2-2-23): 25.7 minutes 13.5 points 6.8 rebounds 3.3 blocks lots of deflections (is that really a stat?) - .6 steals 34.7% behind the arc 51.8% overall shooting 83.3% from the line 1.3 fouls 80% reduction in attempted drives and passes through the paint (I made up the %)1 point

Caleb is well spoken and is complimentary of his time at ORU. I heard him speak at different venues and was heartened to hear him give the Lord thanks for his accomplishments. Caleb seems humble; he spoke about how his teammates and coaches share in his honors. I have heard he has done well and saved/invested the money he made playing basketball. Max Abmas and this current team stand on the shoulders of former greats like Caleb Green who laid the foundations of the basketball program.1 point

“Twenty years ago, TU decided that it would not offer a scholarship to a Memorial prospect. At ORU, Caleb Green became a Hall of Fame athlete.” Outstanding article from Bill Haisten. He doesn’t mince words about TU’s decision to NOT recruit Caleb Green (and since they don’t recruit the same caliber of athletes as ORU, why would they?), and draws an overt conclusion as to why ORU is enjoying such success while TU flounders. Thank you Bill, and THANK YOU CALEB!1 point
