If Max does in fact return to ORU next year for his "super sophomore" year (thanks to COVID), it will go down in ORU Basketball history as the greatest recruiting coup since signing Jamie Burgens!!* *Sorry, just can't/won't let that one go - probably ever...

Abmas scored 25 points against Western Illinois and now is at 24.682 PPG (543 points over 22 games). Garza (Iowa) has 583 points through 24 games - with two games left in the regular season. He would have to score 58 points over two games to catch Max. Davis from Detroit-Mercy has 511 points through 21 games - with one game to go. He needs 33 points to surpass Abmas.

We had to turn it off with eight minutes remaining. Between way too many fouls been called, the broadcast clicking off every 60 seconds, and the PA announcer screaming whose ball it was… It was just more than I could take!

Here's a clue: the portly older ref with the televangelist hair is Frank Spencer, a long-time Mid-Con and Summit League ref who's best days are behind him (he can't run anymore). And the young blonde-headed ref who looks vaguely familiar is none other than Bradley Yorkovich, the son of infamous Golden Eagle nemesis John Yorkovich. I think in legal terms on Law and Order his work product may fall under the category of "fruit from the poisonous tree"...
