When valpo moved to the HL from the mid-con (tulsa was hosting the tournament at the time), the HL was consistently sending two teams to the NCAAT and winning games. Butler was even runner national champion. Butler left, Milwaukee lost Bruce pearl, Cleveland state and Detroit went to the dumpster. Loyola left the HL. Valpo won 5 of 6 HL titles and then moved tOnthe mvc. as it stands for the last 3-4 years I think the summit is stronger of a basketball league than the HL.

Got it. Valpo has moved up twice, while we can't win anything in The Summit.

I would agree with that. The Summit is having it's worst year in a decade though... but still has the potential to be better than the Horizon with the state schools in the Dakotas.
