18-3 final score, Trevor McCutchin goes 5-for-6 with a dinger (five consecutive hits after his first at-bat), and six ORU pitchers combine for zero earned runs in their first D-1 appearances. Fantastic weekend of work leading into (weather permitting) some really good competition this next week.

Since Mills took over, ORU usually has an advantage on the inside (rebounds, points in the paint, etc.) but a disadvantage with the perimeter game (three point shooting, assists, and turnovers). So in other words, they need to get better guard play. Sam has been solid for the most part but hardly any other guard is consistent. ORU needs to add some better guards (RJ, Milton, and Max Abmas are hopefully on the way barring any transfers). North Dakota's back court just dominated ORU.

Seriously? You ever try to stay loose and hit with an aluminum bat in 35-degree weather? All those singles today will likely convert to extra base hits when the weather warms up. Murray State played some nice defense in the infield today, or we would have seen even more offense from ORU. All in all, great to pick up two wins at home midway through February when a lot of teams in the country can’t even play due to wintery weather.

Impressive opening day sweep considering all the new faces. Not a huge fan of saving the bottom half of the old scoreboard for the line score and such. Is that the actual end product, or a temporary stituation? Video stream was top-notch, coupled with consummate announcing pro Don King calling the game. Very enjoyable!
