  1. If NMSU bolts then the WAC is in serious trouble with 7 active members for bkb since GCU is still in transition. The WAC may have a waiver that gets them through that transition. I don't know for certain. If not that makes me think the WAC made an offer to Umkc they couldn't refuse. Who knows. Considering the TSL situation in baseball the TSL probably made a great offer to ORU to come back. The TSL had a chance to bring in UND and UNC as associate members in baseball when the TSL needed it most and the TSL passed. That makes many believe that ORU is just the first of possibly a few more teams that will announce a move to the TSL. Such teams will most likely have baseball to get the league to a cushion on the 6 active member requirement for baseball. Both leagues no longer have football so active numbers in bkb and bb are very important for auto bid. As a fan of USD I welcome you back any fully understood your move to the SLC. I respect your school, teams and fan base. I realize trips up north aren't always ideal but look forward to meeting you all when you play my Yotes in SD and any trips I make to Tulsa. Good luck this year in the Southland.

  2. Any speculation on the part of Summit followers on who that "baseball-playin', automatic-qualifyin', already D-1, non-football" school might be? A school from these parts that a lot of ORU followers have coveted for years as a conference travel partner is Arkansas-Little Rock. They would seem to fit all of the criteria...

  3. ORU played really selfish tonight; Sean and DJ particularly: DJ refuses to throw the ball inside, and Sean refuses to give it up when doubled (SEVEN turnovers tonight). This team has regressed of late - it actually started with Cameron, and has continued the past three games. Can't even hit free throws right now. Can't blame the coaching staff for this one (though, for the life of me, I will never understand why ORU plays so little zone and take so few 3's). Akron plays like an AAU summer league team - a disciplined squad with equal talent would beat them by double digits. ORU just wasn't that disciplined squad tonight...

  4. Remember how excited we were that Wilson was going to be eligible this season? He's seen little time on the court, and the time he has spent has been unremarkable. Hope that changes as the season roles along.

  5. How quickly we've gone from really excited about this team to really wondering about them. It looks like the spark was Obi. Without him teams can afford to double team Glover, and the other players just seem to lack the confidence or swagger or something to win games. In some ways Scott sounds like a broken record in the post-game from one game to the next.
