oruvoice
Yeah, scheduling is really tough, these days.Thankful for Missouri State and Detroit. And, the Mayor's Cup series.Gotta get creative and maybe do a tourney like James Madison, perhaps? Get 3-4 games and co-op with other schools in our same boat...Maybe a "Christian Classic" and try to get other private Christian universities? And, maybe a big corporate sponsor (Mardel, Chick-Fil-A, etc.) would hop on board, to defray cost...?
ORU82
Getting a P-5 team may be one thing, but there are a lot of mid-majors who should be available. I am not saying Coach is wrong, but we can not schedule home/aways with teams from the Valley, MAC, Horizon, A-10, CAA or Mountain West? TrueBlue82
Denver seems to have some of this figured out...Seven D-1 mid/low-major home games, three neutral and three on the road. That's a very nice home schedule.Of course, they also don't have any of the big payoff games, so there are always trade-offs.Nov. 14: vs Santa Clara, Wisconsin-Milwaukee or LipscombNov. 15: vs Santa Clara, Wisconsin-Milwaukee or LipscombNov. 16: vs Santa Clara, Wisconsin-Milwaukee or LipscombNov. 18: Utah ValleyNov. 25: Idaho StateNov. 28: South AlabamaDec. 2: WyomingDec. 5: Air ForceDec. 9: @San DiegoDec. 13: Weber StateDec. 16: @Northern ColoradoDec. 20: Eastern WashingtonDec. 22: @UC Riverside
theeagleman5
So ORU starts off the season with 8 games in 18 days.....and the first 15 games in 38 days....that's almost an NBA like schedule and when you consider that 11 of those 15 are on the road it becomes even more daunting.....this young team will have to grow up fast and be in tip top shape.....TheEagleman hopes that our seniors Obi and Conley are ready to play and provide that key leadership role....
