Holy cow. That's SFA-esque.

When was the last time we had 15 assists in a game?

They are very good. I don't know where they finished in the Big West, but their non-conference schedule shows close losses against tourney teams Kansas, SMU and Oregon and NIT #1 seed Colorado State. They also destroyed Pac-12 member Washington State by 28 pts in Alaska.

They definitely share the ball. The Gauchos are 9 and 2 over their last 11 games; they lost in the Big West tournament 63 to 72 against UC-Irvine. They also have some size - with three contributing players 6'8" or taller.

Williams is their best player and who we will have trouble matching up with. Bryson is also a very good player. As mentioned above, the Gauchos share the ball and garner a lot of assists.

That sounds like an appropriate line....UCSB seems to have played some tougher competition....but ORU as a home dog is intriguing....TheEagleman has to wonder if our boys will be "up" for this one....will we come out motivated especially if it's a small crowd and students are on spring break.....can't say that I am optimistic....

Only one of the 1st round CBI games is televised on ESPN3.....Stony Brook at Mercer......so much for the ORU-ESPN3 partnership....maybe ESPN3 will pick up a 2nd round or Semifinals game if we are still alive......oh well, at least for those who can't be there we've got Hax on the call, thanks to the TuneIn app!

Should be an exciting game...UCSB has a lot of talent....this is a tough draw for ORU....it's probably too much to hope for that ORU and Rider advance and the game is played about 30 minutes from my home in Lawrenceville, NJ.....if that happens ....TheEagleman may be sitting next to Hax doing color....not sure Hax would be able to take it..... :wasntme:

Probably no one happier about the CBI than Hax.  Spared him a LONG bus trip to Lubbock with the baseball team to take on Texas Tech.  Nice to have a conflict on that one!

This one is a tough game for TheEagleman to predict....we have no idea how motivated either team will be for this CBI opening round contest....UCSB appears to have played in the tougher conference and they have some players with skill...but they are coming across country two time zones and maybe over looking this ORU squad...on the other hand, our guys may or may not get "up" for this one....one would hope that playing on the home floor would help us but that's not always the case in these post season tournaments.....honestly, I have to go with the visiting team here.....our home advantage won't be all that great especially if under 2000 fans show up....TheEagleman wonders if we will even get that many.....I am going to call it  UCSB 74 ORU 70..... :|
