300 wins over 16 seasons is a nice average of around 19 wins per season and a .5964 winning percentage (300-203). Scott has had a consistent level of success with only 2 losing seasons. Congratulations to Scott!

300 wins over 15 seasons is a nice 20+ wins per season average. Scott has had a consistent level of success with only 2 down seasons. Congratulations to Scott!

and because of where he coaches, he can't pad his stats racking up wins with an easy non-conference schedule....making it all the more impressive.

Congrats to one of the Greats!! @CoachSSutton When coaches ask why I Want to Compete in EVERY practice… http://t.co/DTDdnshLnm

Wow....those are wonderful comments from guys who played for Scott.....I was talking to Reggie Tate today (played for ORU 1999 and 2000) and he spoke about the respect he has for Scott....Reggie couldn't believe that he was going for 300 already.....at the rate Coach is going.....if he continues at ORU until age 65 he should rack up about 700 wins.....impressive for a mid major like ORU where as mentioned above he can't pad the stats against really bad non conference teams....quite the contrary.....looks like we might have a COACH FOR LIFE???.....

No higher praise for a coach than when it comes your own current and former players.

Congratulations Coach Sutton: great win, great milestone!

And, with a handful more wins in this his 16th season, that should take his yearly average just above 19 wins per season.

Couple that with his record vs. TU {7-8} and marquee wins like Kansas, Missouri, Georgetown, USC, Stanford, Oklahoma State, et al., I gotta give it up to the guy!

...And that opening win over TU is looking more and more impressive every week......The Golden Hurricane are now 17-5 over all and 10-0 in conference after pounding Houston on the road last night.....who would have thought?...TheEagleman has to take his hat off to the "crosstown rival".....they appear to be headed to the NCAA Tournament..... :nerd:

I have been thinking about what to post throughout the day, but I don't think that I can do any better than Mike Minyard's tweet:

Great coach, better person.

Congratulations Scott - we appreciate all that you have done for the school.
