BlueGold
Fantastic win for the ladies as they beat TU 73-71 at the Mabee Center! ORU reclaims the Mayor's Cup and makes it a sweep of the Cups for our basketball programs. Way to go ladies!! Stats and stuff to follow. Old Titan
Congratulations to Coach Cussen and the ladies for a tough win - would be easy for them all to lose confidence down the stretch after those deflating losses at Tennessee and Baylor, but they gutted it out. NICE JOB!

BlueGold
Great effort by the ladies tonight. They could have wilted and really let it get away after falling behind by 10 points with 8:47 left but fought their way back, chipping away at the TU lead and eventually taking the lead with just over two minutes remaining. TU tied it at 67-all with 1:24 left but we got a clutch basket from Vicky McIntyre with 58 seconds left to take the lead for good. Tulsa made a free throw to cut our lead to 69-68 with 45 seconds left but we hit all four of our free throw attempts on our next couple of possessions to expand the margin to 73-68 with three seconds to go, and Tulsa's three at the final buzzer only brought the score that much closer. We did the things that we needed to do to win. We shot 49%, won the rebound battle by nine (41-32) and cut down on our turnovers, committing 16, which is still too many but way less than what we'd averaged in our first two games (30.5). Nine players played and eight scored and had at least one rebound. Three seniors led the way: Detti Balla- 19 pts, 7 reb, 3 stls, 8-11 FG Atoe' Jackson- 14 pts Vicky McIntyre- 8 pts, 15 reb, and 9 blocks, which ties the ORU record for most blocks in a game (Kisa Bradley had 9 vs. Wofford in 1997) Also, a shout out to sophomore Dorka Balla, who sparked us off the bench offensively with 11 points in 18 minutes. Our record's now 1-2 and we'll try to even it this Monday (Nov. 24th) when Missouri State comes to the Mabee Center.
