Taken from the Athletics website:

Five incoming Golden Eagle freshmen played in last night's Oklahoma Coaches' Association All-State game at the Mabee Center.

Jordan Gilbert (Carl Albert HS, OKC) had 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting and four rebounds to lead the West while being named Game MVP by the Tulsa World.  Faith Ihim (Tulsa Memorial HS) led the East with ten points.  Jasauen Beard (Midwest City HS, OKC) also had a good game with six points, nine rebounds and two blocks for the West.  Jordan Doyle (Broken Arrow HS) and Esther Udoumoh (Tulsa Union HS) played for the East, scoring two points each.

Good to see these newcomers representing themselves and ORU well.

The team is getting ready to head to Costa Rica for a preseason tour.  They'll be there from August 1-10 to play a couple of exhibition games on the trip as well as to participate in mission activities, humanitarian service projects and sightseeing tours of the country.

It should be a great opportunity for the ladies to go and hopefully play some competitive basketball, do God's work, have some fun and bond as a group.

these missions/basketball trips by ORUWBB are a great legacy left by Coach Fink.  i'm glad to see Coach Cussen and company will be continuing them.
