thanks for the heads up LUSportsFan...either the previous report was wrong or the schedules got reworked.  in any event, glad to see ORU is not playing UIW.

It would be pretty funny, after several pages of bemoaning us playing Incarnate Word, we aren't actually playing them! LOL!!!

We've always said the game made no sense.

For whatever reason it's been removed from UIW's website schedule:  good riddence.  :whew:

Dropped off my kid at ORU this week and got the opportunity to see the "unofficial" schedule for this coming year. All I can say is that if what I saw stays as is, WOW, what a schedule! I can't say what I saw, but if it remains then we are playing a very ambitious and impressive schedule. It coupled with our return to the Summit are giant steps in the right direction. No more IWU's or ACU's. GO EAGLES!

By the way....can't believe that the Vegas MGM tournament still hasn't announced the 8th team yet.....what's the deal with that???.... :|

So, that's a total of 26 games.  The last three years (two in Southland, one in Summit), we've scheduled 13 non-conference, 18 conference.  With only ten non-conference, looks like we need at least 3-4 more, and perhaps 5 to make up for two less conference games.

I like it.  Adding two NAIA schools from Kansas as home games is not a bad idea - and placing them right before and during the conference schedule gives the team a chance to work out some bugs and gain some confidence with a W.  Interesting, however, that Tabor doesn't have this game listed on their schedule - and do have a game scheduled in Wichita (against Friends) the following night.  Those boys are gonna be exhausted.

Pretty excited to see that team from Lawrence, KS coming into the Mabee Center!

Of course, it’s the afore-mentioned Haskell, which may be the only team still allowed to be called the Indians—its  full name is Haskell Indian Nations University, and all ~1,000 students are members of federally recognized Native American tribes. Cool!
