A nightmare for the Summit League and ESPN both if that happens.
In other words, it will be just like when the tournament was in Tulsa... FRIENDLY RIBBING, don't get too fired up OT.
Myself and 6/10 of our group of fans will be there regardless of who's playing (wives will probably stay home if SDSU isn't in it). We don't often get a chance to see DI basketball on this scale, I think there will be at least 2500 regardless of the teams playing. South Dakota has a strong basketball culture, albeit mostly in DII and high school basketball until about 5 years ago.
Hopefully we've earned some respect in the last 4 years (I seem to remember posts 3-4 years ago that it would us take 10+ years to compete or we'd never be able to compete). ORU was a huge asset for the league and a fun game every time. The vast silent majority of SDSU/NDSU fans are pretty disappointed to see you go.

Yeah, unfortunately none of them post on here.
I can't recall a soul in these parts thinking the XDSU's would be anything but formidable foes right from the get-go.
Heck, NDSU won the darn regular season AND tournament right out of the box!
Perhaps you are referring to the fact your FANS are 10 years behind the curve, still acting like country bumpkins on national television.
Can't wait to see how long it is before the national ESPN audience on Tuesday night is treated to the inevitable "BULL****!!, BULL****!!" chant on a whistle the crowd doesn't like.
I'll put the over/under as the first media timeout.

My fear is that there will not be any calls made that the crowd disagrees with.

Hey, Terry - I'll make you a deal: you go ahead and change "IPFW" to "Western Illinois" in your post above. Then, I'll delete this post and we'll pretend this whole thing never happened.

Oral Roberts (27-5, 17-1; RPI: 38, SOS: 187)
The Golden Eagles won the Summit at 17-1 and now are in the semifinals against Western Illinois. A title game against semi-homestanding South Dakota State looms. How much credit that win over depleted Xavier is worth in the eyes of the committee will go a long way toward determining whether they can eat a loss.
GW: at Xavier (when shorthanded), South Dakota State?, Akron?
BL: UT-San Antonio (N)
