"13. Oral Roberts (14-4). A Sentence: It’s not breaking any info to say a mid-major team is overlooked, but no mid-major team has been overlooked this season as ORU. A Statistic: Dominique Morrison has an absurd offensive rating in 156 during conference play. The Schedule: at Western Illinois Thursday; at IUPUI Saturday."

IF the guys don't have a lapse on the road this week, we REALLY set ourselves up for some BIG things this season. Bracketbuster TV spot, #1 seed in the tourney, and IF we do make the NCAA tourney...a chance to REALLY improve our seed and give ourselves a WINNABLE game in the Big Dance. A 12-13 seed INFINITELY improves our chances over a 14-15 seed.
Keep focused, play our game, and this could a really special finish to what has already been a great season!!!

Indeed. It is good to see ORU on this list, and hopefully the coaches voting in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 follow suit when it is updated later today. It is a shame that ORU hasn't gone past the "Receiving Votes" yet in that poll.

I've always thought that the Mid-Major Top 25 was as much a coach-on-coach popularity contest as anything else. There have been too many times when teams that didn't deserve to be in it stayed in it and teams that DID deserve to be in it weren't.
I'm not saying that I wouldn't be happy if we made it in, I'm just saying that it's a poor objective indication of the best twenty five mid-major teams.

Oh yeah, I know. Winning on the road is tough. WIU, SDSU, NDSU, and even SUU & IUPUI could cause problems.
But, this teams SEEMS to be a pretty tough bunch. Mature. Experienced. Tough. Like a bunch of sausage makers!

Base Blocks
11. Oral Roberts (16-4). A Sentence: Golden Eagles are already halfway (8-0) to going undefeated in the Summit. A Statistic: Dominique Morrison is in the top 10 percent in minutes played, offensive rating, usage, effective field goals and free-throw rate. Only Murray State’s Isaiah Canaan shares that distinction. The Schedule: vs. IUPU Fort Wayne Thursday; vs. Oakland Saturday.

Just saw our RPI...currently 44. And, Lunardi has moved us up to a 12 seed in his most recent bracket. Which doesn't mean a whole lot, but we are getting some respect.
Got to keep on winning!!!
