ORU82
Prayers for Obi, Brandon, Darian and Tre for healthy, complete and speedy recoveries. Otherwise, I like the idea of the "missions" trip. May Gd bless their endeavors and give them safe traveling mercies. On another note, if anyone has any info they can share about the four mentioned above, it would be appreciated. ORU GRAD
If 4 are hurt and 8 are going that leaves 1 scholarship player not going ,right? Who is the one not going?
ORUIllini
If 4 are hurt and 8 are going that leaves 1 scholarship player not going ,right? Who is the one not going? My guess is Chris Miller? I think I remember reading something about him not being academically ineligible this year and possibly red-shirting....
ORUalum
All-State Games: Former BTW star Chris Miller makes himself at home at Mabee Center - TW The 6-foot-8 Miller led the Large East with 18 points and six rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as the West prevailed 106-95. Besides basketball, Miller has been busy with academics this summer. “I took three classes — sports injuries, sports management and American government,†Miller said before adding with a laugh, “I learned about injuries — I want to avoid them.†Miller was sidelined for a month early in his senior season before returning to average 11.3 points and 10.5 rebounds for the 20-7 Hornets. Miller, who has good shooting range for a center, made 9-of-13 shots from the field Thursday. “I’ve been working on my shot every day,†he said. Miller is looking forward to the Golden Eagles’ trip next week to the Dominican Republic. It will be his first trip outside of the United States. “I’m very excited and hope to get a lot of playing time,†Miller said. “It’ll be a big experience going overseas. I’m kind of nervous, but it’s going to be good.†
Old Titan
That's great that Miller can practice with the team and travel for this trip. Wasn't sure if he would be able to do that...
ORUalum
i guess Miller will not be playing on the trip... Oral Roberts taking mission, basketball trip to Dominican Republic Young, a 5-foot-11, 165-pound soon-to-be junior during the upcoming 2015-2016 season, will be one of three juniors on ORU's roster to the Dominican Republic. Aaron Anderson, an Edmond Santa Fe product who redshirted last season, and Jalen Bradley, a Northeast Community College (Neb.) transfer, will log plenty of minutes for the Golden Eagles. Albert Owens, 6-9 center, will be ORU's lone sophomore playing in the Dominican Republic, and four incoming freshmen — Chris Crawford (Victory Christian), DaQuan Jeffries (Edmond Santa Fe), Kris Martin (Dallas) and Javan White (Ames, Iowa) — will comprise the rest of the Golden Eagles' roster. theeagleman5
When did these injuries to Obi, Conley and Harris occur?....just in these recent practices?.....geez....that's not good....not good at all.....this doesn't bode well for the 2015-16 non conference schedule if two starters won't be playing until mid November........
